Okay, I have read all about hook, and want to make sure I am not mis-interpretting. I recall the article(here someplace) that you shouldn't bother with anything past the second strake. Is this correct. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you guys think.

This is in between the first strake and second. The first strake does not run al the way to the back of the transom. In my opinion, this needs to be fixed.

This is the same location on the opposite side. Looks very straight, I think some block sanding is all this will need.

Lastly, this pic is outside of the second strake, near the edge of the hull. This looks bad to me. How much does this section affect my ride? and in your professional opinions, should this be fixed? http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/212Hook1-med.jpg
Thanks for your help.

if there's 1/8inch or more gap then i'd fix it if you have the time. you might as well since you've got the hull upside down anyways. I'd concentrate on the actually running surface that will be in the water when you'r running at WOT. that would be the last 2-3 feet of the boat and the inside strakes. i'm by no means an expert, this is just what i've been told.

That furry bump on the end might cause a little drag..... :D
