just wondering why some people say you should not be regulating your cooling with a gate valve,seems like it has been working for along time. what about a thermostat seems like you are still letting cold water do your cooling maybe i'm not quite sure how they work on a jet boat. be interested to see what you guys have to say about the to methods, thanks!!!

In My race boat I run Bothj Thermostat & Gate valve.
When I make a pass I close the valve part way yto Get some heat in the m otor, Heat to a point makes HP.

I run a gate vlave. Know people who have problems with thermostat. The gate valve gives you a little more control when you get to know your boat. That's just my 2 cents.
