It's been 6 months of complete stripdown and restoration on our 21' Omega Daycruiser boat. One more month to go, and should be ready to hit the lakes and fire up the turbine again. Attached are some pics as of couple weeks ago:

Hey nice setup, that looks like an Allison T63 if so that about what 317HP or so? Been intereste for quite some time about making the conversion to turbine engine (for several reasons).
I was wondering what the dry weight of your hull is? And what kind of top end your expecting (or have already have done) with this setup. I have a 21' Eliminator Daytona (jet) tunnel, and a 21' Biesemeyer daycruiser.
Very interested in talking with you more about this.

I design small gas turbine engines for a living, and have sources for all sorts of hardware. The fuel tanks are not ideal in the engine compartment, but will be fine. Theres over 3000 CFM of air flowing into the engine compartment from the positive displacement fans on the firewall, and run past the fuel tanks. As I get more done, there will be a simple heat shield that shields the tanks, and the cooling air goes thru it. I'm also going to be building an engine cover, that incorpates dual stainless exhaust augmentors, that comes down over the engine exhaust ducts and not only directs the exhaust out, but acts as a exhaust augmentor to evacuate the heat from the compartment. The excess flow of the the fans is for the engine compressor stages...

Hey Eric,
Theres not much left of the boat that you sold to me. All the wood was roted and ended up ripping everything out but the glass fibers. But after a lot of work, and repainting it, it is good to go. All the black areas that you see is the spray on urethane that is used on the truck beds..

A friend of mine has one in his 19 Daytona...pretty neet! Odd not hearing the BB Rumble when it's cruising in the water. I belive it's 320 HP...in a very light Hull.
