How much HP

Does anyone run a small single carb blower on a BBC? How much hp can you get out of a mild buildup relatively inexpensive also? I know this is a small block but this is the type of blower im talking about. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/504/210engine-med.jpg

looks like a BBC to me but in mild state of tune around 500-600 hp on pump gas. depends on how radical you wanted to get, what heads, how many inches , etc. plus you got the COOL factor :cool:

Yup, I'd have to agree that it looks like a BBC. I had the horsepower figured about the same as floored too. A buddy of mine ran one on his BBC and he was right around 500 hp. Other than the CF (coolness factor) it seems like a lot of extra hardware when you could easily get the same hp from a naturally aspirated BBC, BBO, BBF or what have ya.
That's just an opinion, and you know what they say about those.

My bad, i could not tell from that view if it was a BBC or SBC. So what ya'll are saying is it would be just as easy to make 500-600 with a BBC with or without a blower. What about cost and reliability.

*Real nice ballance job, Revs up nicely...
*049 Heads 118 cc'd, Feria (sp?) 2.190 + 1.880 Inconel exhaust.
*Heads were Bowl worked and Flowed at Brandywine Cylinder Head Specialties.
*Comp Cams # 11-314-4 lift 550/554 Dur>232/237 110 lobe sep. and required springs.
* Crowler 1.7 Aluminum Roller Rockers
*Weiand Stealth Intake
*Holley List# 9029= 715 Vac Secondary 75-84 jets
*Mallory Dual Point (set up correctly)!
* 32 degrees total timing, thats where it makes the most RPM, all in by 3500 rpm.
Max rpm no baffels, good air day= 52-5250 with a full Aggressor (A) Impeller. (equivalent to a Berk 2-A)
Aggressor Imp Chart rates there 9" Imp.@ 5050 rpm = 550 HP. I'm pulling another 200 rpm.
The fella that used to do Dean Nickerson's head work saw my heads last year(on the bench)...he thought they looked pretty good as far as what was done to them...but thought he (may) be able to find another 40-50 HP out of them.
I know a smaller Impeller would yield much more HP at much higher RPM...but I'm not giving up on my Aggressor Full A Cut. I like the hole shot and midrange pull, plus the cruise efficiency is there...well as good as it can be with a 21 Daytona Bus...lol.
Pretty stout little motor...but little none the less as compared to what some of these other None Blower Rats are making.
I wonder what a DNE sticker on the Valve cover would do for me?...lol
