I'm hoping to have a new BullSH*t gauge from Autometer here soon. The higher the reading the faster your boat runs.

I'll be doing major remodel this year. I'll be moving the motor & pump to the front of the boat. This will give me better handeling in the turns.

i hear the BS gauges are on backorder but i also heard that Autometer's new Smacktalk gauge is available in both electric or mechanical versions.

Tom Foolery- are you moving the motor so that it'll be easier to avoid hitting disco's boat?

Tom Foolery- are you moving the motor so that it'll be easier to avoid hitting disco's boat? I'm expecting a 358% increase in manuverability from the FDS (Front Drive System) which will make me 370% more in control (the extra 12% is my estimated skill increase by next year) so i should have no troube avoiding boats next year.
PS. for the record I was not one of the attackers on Disco's Boat.

i know you weren't but with all of that new control you could iceskate around his boat with no problems and just make him nervous.

I heard havasu barney is putting the finishing touches on a "dark side" guage ...... :D By the way, if eggbeaters are the darkside, can we officially dub jet boats "the force" ?

That would be pretty funny Mike :D
I could drive all around him & taunt him! "I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you! I'm not touching you!" devil

I was just thinking that maybe my motor isn't breathing enough. If I fab up an adaptor I think I can stack two 750's on top of each other to make a 1500 CFM Holley.

you need to adjust the clickers and swap the pull rods.

Are those smacktalk guages the GPS units?I'd like to know who is talking smack down to a three foot radius.I also saw these trick parts in HavasuBarney's catalog under"Jet Performance".
Intercooled Steering columns.
Swim step bearings.
Twin hydraulic stereo mounts.
Flexible driveshaft.
Roller tipped motor mounts.
Lab finished place diverter.
Nose cone for jet intake.
Damn that Barney,he's quite an innovator.I've never even heard of these things but they must make you FAST!!!!!Getting out my Visa now....

Seems like I remember reading here a while back that to pick up a lot of speed all you have to do is take the passenger seat out...Not sure if it makes it faster or just eliminates witnesses to the GPS.

Why all the hunt for new HP?? Just go with the good old classic, "the sticker"!,
Then again, there always is the areodinamic marine carpet!!!

areodinamic marine carpet!!! That is a good upgrade, but some people just can't spend the big bucks, so they have to settle for things like "Race Stitching" in there seats.
I think this winter I'm going to step up a little more to compete with Cyclone. Some of the mods I'm thinking about doing are:
Flow and Massage the connecting rods
Reversable rocker arms
Retractable plug wires (more of a conveinence thing)
I'm going to run dual 4 cylinder distributors
Add some plastic Air Jets to the carbs
4 piece valve covers
25 degree push rods
Hard Rubber cam (so when it heats up, the lobes expand)
Roller lifters with tread (don't want any slippage)
That's just a few of the mods, we are still undecided on the others...

Don't overlook the new ARP centerdrilled connecting rod bolts. These cutting edge bolts allow the use of safety wire around the entire lower portion of the rod and cap. Make sure to use balanced ss wire though or the motor may have vibration. May also require additional grinding of the block for wire clearance.

Cyclone, I am suprised you haven't thought of this already, its so easy and cheap. You can pick up at least 10 MPH. Then you will own HBJ. Drill a bigger hole in your spedo water pickup. It worked for me.

I just thought of somthing guys, We need to tap into the rice market to make out boats go faster!!!!!!
need shift light ont he monster tack!!!
Fire extingusher mounted on the deck or by the gauges so all can see what color it is, dont worry about the air flow, it works like a K&N, will streightent he air as it enter the scoop!!
Gotta have the little blue or red lights just in front of the dash!
What about the tip on the headers, tooo small!!! We need to got 8'' or bigger!!!!!
and of course, the best HP gain, will be a wing that is at least 4' tall with multiple horizontal braces for max effect!!!!!
