I was checking the two cap screws on the bowl when I snapped one off. They were only nylon and were probably the original ones. So here are my questions.
1. Can I use any cap screw(brass is all I have found) or do I need something else.
2. What oil should I use in the bowl. I was thinkig about switching to Royal Purple.
Thanks for the help.

Any non-reactive cap screw will do. Aluminum, brass, stainless are all good. You can also get the original from here: http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.asp?product_id=150-S13883
The bowl is lubed with regular gear oil.
You can use the marine stuff from Mercury, OMC, Yamaha etc. I have heard of others that use 90wt automotive gear oil. I don't think you'd notice enough of a difference in friction with the Royal Purple to justify the cost, but I'm a cheap bastard. :D
Good luck.

Thanks for the help. Ruyal Purple eek!
Use the cheapest gear oil you can find, or even a straight 60wt motor oil. Thats all thats needed in there.
