Hustler gets a new shine

[Hustler]

Well sunday Disco came over to help me put some shine back in the ol' Hustler. after wet sanding it and some polishing I dont think the Hustler has ever looked better. Thanks again Disco for all your help, I mean you did do most of the work anyway :D

It looks pretty shiny to me...lets try to keep it that way :D Went by to pick up the Southwind from GS Marine today to head to the river...not quite done yet but it is looking good. This is what I had done: new headers (they were shot), new starter (rusted out), completely checked out the motor and tuned up, new scoop and flame arrestor (the old one would not fit with the old scoop), brand new rub rail installed, completely buffed out and cleaned the interior. There were some hoses and so forth that needed to be rerouted and terminated and so forth. When he cranked it over for me it brought back the good old days of my old 78 Elim jet. Sounds great and will be looking good. I can't wait to scare the little old ladies on the boardwalk in Laughlin....lol Let me know when you are going out again. I will be leaving tomorrow and coming back Sat.

The ramp at Big Bend state park (Nevada side) across from River Bend. Just look for a boat with MORE yellow than you have. (well, including the yellow bimini) :D

Well, I used to live in OC, but I had to move out to the 909 to buy a house. Plus, OC is "Over Cast" . I like the sun!! smile_sp

Turned out great, how long did it take? Rich it took us about 6 hours. we only wet sanded the top then used two cutters on the top and a glaze to finish it off. on the sides we only used a heavy cutter, I'm goping to use the fine next then hit the whole boat again with the glaze.
