All Jets
06-04-2003, 05:42 AM
To all those who are interested in seeing the Dual Drive boats in action, we will have four of them in the water this weekend on the Parker Strip. The four boats will consist of a 21 Day Cruiser, 23 Renegade, 25 Howard and a 28 Carrera. We will be giving rides to all those who would like to see what this drive system is all about. Launching will take place at the BlueWater Casino on Friday and Saturday then we are going to try and run up to Havasu all day on Sunday. Hope to see you this weekend.

What does having two jets do for a boat. I always thought this dual jet thing was a joke.

What does having two jets do for a boat. I always thought this dual jet thing was a joke. I'm still scratching my head about that myself...it's gonna take even more of a mountain of HP to turn 2 pumps...unless there loaded with B or C Impellers, then whats the point?
There is a "cool" factor for sure. But I just don't see how it could ever be as efficient as a prop/out drive/V Drive...Would it allow my boat to cruise at a much higher mph at at lower rpm?
Guess there's always the "Cool factor".

I'm going on the assumption that they're primarily for larger boats? Since all the boats that they're running are over 21'. Not quite sure about the physics part of the deal (how and why, they'd provide more thrust) with a single engine though. If I was going to be there, I'd run down and check it out just because I'm a curious kinda guy.

Hammer yes you can turn more mph at way lower RPM. They turn like 3-4 grand.

You all know I am not a jet guy, but a properly setup, tight pump is almost as efficient as a prop, but the standard 12 series pumps do not move enough water to effectively propel larger heavier boats. The dual drive does...
