old gas tank clean up??

i just recently purchased a kacina and the gas tank are fiberglassed in . Does anybody know what i can put into them to clean the VARISH out of the tank??? :confused: :confused: :confused:

i just pulled both tanks today to clean and have checked for leaks .i think one leaks a little and thats no good

I have the same problem with my 68 hallett I am gonna try something this weekend and i will post and let you know if it works. I am going to my friends radiator shop and i am gonna put about a gallon of the stuff they dip plactic radiators in to clean them in each tank I will then put some water in the tank drive around for awhile to mix it all up and agitate it then drain and replace all the hoses. again i will see if it works and let you know.
I must say i am real hopefull this works and i will still run a bunch of fuel filters for awhile

What do you guys think about pool acid? I have seen people put it in cylinders to get them unfrozen.
