I did a search for pertronix and did not come up with much so here's the question I did a conversion on my prestolite distributor it is on a BBF and can't get it to rev over 3000 rpm, has anyone had this problem? I talked to there tech people and they had me try some things but they all checked out ok. When I put the points back in the problem was gone, so I'm sure it was the pertronix unit??
Thanks
Jesse

Make sure you're getting upwards of 26 degrees of advance out of that distributor. We've run probably 5 pertronix units in different distributors to date with nothing but great results. Personally, I'd send it in under waranty and get a new one.
Good luck,
