460 Ford in a 21 ' 1979 Sleekcraft.
Currently have engine out of boat my 3 point mounting system was trashed. Side mounts were mangled. Looking to upgrade to a stringer rail mounting system. Note: 950$ is too much. Looking for a solution around 400 $.
If I have to go back to 3 point system I will. Prefer a rail solution. Engines ready to go back in now. Any info of advice would be appreciated.

Talk to John with JM Marine or Tom Papp. They can get you a Lightning Rail Mount kit for 650-700 bucks....or maybe less!

If you go with engine plates and rail mounting I may be interested in your bellhousing if it doesn't get used for new sytem. may help ease the financial blow :D

Let me know what you are thinking for a rail mount. If you aren't looking for trick machining, maybe we can work something out. Give me some info.

Currently working with a party right now on a prototype rail mounting system for all us 460 Ford owners out there. I'll have pics up after the sale.
The Droid - The design would still include my bellhousing sorry.
Brian - If this doesn't fall through I'll be calling you. I actually tried to call you yesterday before I found someone with the designs already done.

i made my own rails to save a few bucks, they came out tits. just get some 2x2x1/4 structural alum. and go to town, its pretty easy then have someone make you some motor plates or copy someone elses and cut them out if you have access to a band saw. 500 bucks seems expensive, my rails cost me around 25 bucks. in the process of making my plates.c ya :p
