I have a 427 tall block that I am going to build. Does anyone have any setups that they recomend. I wan to stroke it and bore it out. What are the limits to which I can take this motor? I also want to run a tunnel ram I am going to try to make soemwhere in the 800-850hp range. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

How much hp did you make? and what about torque? How much do you want for it? What kind of setup is it? Heads, carb, intake?

Stay away from Speed-o-motive!!!
My cousin bought a 540 stroker, fully decked out with Dart II heads, from them. $12k complete. He put it in a Sanger hydro. Second time out, it spun 2 mains and a rod bearing. It seems they have a problem with putting the incorrect mains in, causing big oiling problems. There are others on this board who have had the same problem. Try the board's search to find out more.
The professional rebuild ended up costing an additional $3k. The machine shop said everything about the engine was shoddy. Speed-o-motive wouldn't do anything towards the new rebuild!!!
Rode in it yesterday, now it screams.
