Would it be hard to add an engine cover??
is it hard to convert a over the transom exhaust to a thru transom?
how much would it cost to convert the exhaust?
how about putting an engine cover on?
i plan on traveling from over the engine a lot and just dont want to get burned....
sorry for the newb question

Hey Duke, I added an engine cover when I redid my interior last winter. I built everything myself, then had someone do the vinal and it wasnt too big a deal. Not sure what motor you have but thats you limmiting factor on exhaust availabitity.
Through transom exhaust are fairly easy to convert to normally, just make sure you have a down angle from the risers (if logs) to tips. Hope this helps, good luck. Oh and heres a pic of my engine cover. :)

Nice job BK, Looks great.
Maybe this might help Duke. This is a boat I almost bought two years back and I was going to put OT twisties on it. These Center Rise Manifolds are readily available and can be purchased at different angles of Discharge.

This particular layout was on a 454 and a CP Gullwing. Don't forget some flaps in the tips too. Good luck,
Randy

Hi Woodster ,
Absolutely. You will see some impressive gains. I do like the looks of the Lightings. They look cool with all those pipes swooping around. I have also heard they sound awesome on Froggys boat.
