Awesome job. Better than the factory could/would do I'm sure. Really top notch stuff there. I'd show ya a shot from behind my gauges, but I wouldn't want to scare anybody.

Will there be a prize at the CBBB for wiring jobs? Best and worst?

Dumb question but what is on top of the pump that has what looks like 2 springs in it? I'm guessing it's a popoff valve. That's where they usually are but this one looks different than most I've seen. Maybe not completely assembled? Can ya educate me cs19?

yes, its a manual pop off valve. I have no idea if it will work well or not. From what i hear they are not that great, you cannot react fast enough to blow off the pressure when you get in trouble. We may play with it a little, im not sure yet. I dont have an original berkeley clean out cover so i have been using that. In one of the last issues in ***boat the das boot boat is in there, and he has the same valve hooked up to a hydralic deal which activates the pop off valve, maybe i can try something like that. im not too worried about it right now, thanks for the compliments, later.

Talk to those guys. It is a pretty bitchen deal. It looks pretty easy to do. I took a good look at it at ming. I think it was like 150 lbs of pressure or something if I remember right. By the way your boat is coming out bitchen. Like the cup holders in the seat mounts.

Looks good, very impressed,I got a berkeley hand hole cover i'll trade ya for that pop-off :D :D ,,My transom is two thin to attach anything too,Do you have any pics of your steering and wireing going along the side of the boat towards the back, thats the area i need to clean up,are you going to run any pump or intake braces? How far are your gas fills from the transom?I need to get new tanks and my fills i think are to far forward?Do you got a pic of how you mounted your tanks through the hull?

How did the dyno run go with that motor on the southwind?

dont ask about the southwind, i just got back from wrenching on that pig all day, had free silver bullets so its ok. :D well about 20 years ago my dad cracked his block when he broke some valve train parts, so they welded it up, which i hear was the thing to do back then :rolleyes:it never gave us a problem for 20 years. well after about 3 or 4 dyno pulls the weld gave way and sprung a water leak. i think when they installed the cam bearings it may have fuc%#d up the weld or something, they made 599 hp so hes happy, thats all he really needs, they already have a new block at
the machine shop and are planning on dynoing it again pretty soon. kind of a bummer but id rather see it break on the dyno instead of the river.

edge i just used p clips and bolts every 18 inches to hold up my cables and stuff up under the gunnells, works really good. yea we are going to run a pump brace as soon as my motor and everything is in i will make one . gas fills are 47.5 inches from 1 inch thick transom, tyr and leave room for bilge pumps. i just used button heads for the tank brackets, the bottom of my boat is not too thin, if its real thin spread the load out. ill get you some pics of those things later on, im still busy trying to set the date on my camera :p bense i do need to go talk to those guys about the pop off deal, next race for sure! THANKS for all the compliments! see ya
