Good morning all!
454 sounds great at idle, as I head up the RPM scale there is a slight miss all of the way. Changed rotor, distributor cap, wires, plugs and took the carb apart to insure no obstrctions - still have the miss. Ideas?
Thanks ahead of time -

What kind of ignition? Points? HEI? This sounds like it is also related to your tach issue thread. If it's missing throughout your RPM range, are you sure it's actually turning over 5000 like you said in your other thread?
Have you checked your coil?
If hei I would look at a idnition module. Then coil and finally pickup coil. All these would have effects at higher rpm. After that youcould have a carb issue. Still nothing I would begin to take valve covers off and look at springs(broken intake). If its popping throught the carb at high rpm`s then a spring is the fault. Vacuum leak? Are you idling high?

You know, that tach reading funny and the miss have a common denominator....the module in the HEI.
