Here is my brothers boat. I'd like your take on the is hull. Its a 1982 Eliminator Sprint with a 30 over 454, tunnel ram, bassetts, berkeley, etc. He is looking to put a new interior in it.

It's actually a very good one. Came close to buying one before I bought my Rogers. Some of them have a little hook in them, so get under it with a straight edge. I think it's one of the nicest looking hulls around. They work good with some power.

This one actually doesnt have a hook. We did looked at it a few years ago. I forgot to mention that.

The only problem I see with it is the fact that it has no CHECKERS :D :D

I'd like to, but I will just stick to mine for now.
Why would the flow of water be so low while idling? Would it be a water pump issue or a header issue. There is plenty of flow while the boat is running at cruising and high speed.

In a jet boat, the water is pumped through the motor using the Jet Pump. So, at idle, the pump is turning slower, therefore the force of water being pumped would be less. Now, depending on how the water lines are setup, there are a few different ways to make sure it gets enough water at idle.
Let me know if your ever going to have the boat at your house, and I'll come on over with a case of beer and we can go through it, since your a few streets away anyways.

Thor, please be more specific about the water question. Are you asking about water thru the engine or thru the headers?
I picked up a 1980 Eliminator Sprint in 2001. It was a nearly bare hull that was in very nice shape. Right now I'm in the process of setting up an interior so I can ditch the ugly old buckets that came out of my old Tahiti. I could sure use some pics of your brother's interior to give me an idea of the original layout.

Norcal, the top pic was taken at the launch ramp at Orwood Resort just out of Oakley. The lower pic was taken not too far away at "Ski Beach".
Steve, NO!. Wait til I get the new seats in it.

http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/521/410Picture_001-med.jpg Just through the headers. The engine runs at a good temp, just the headers seem to dry up a bit at idle. Make them sound cool though. :D

THOR, that's the way it is supposed to be. No water at idle. Should come on at about 1500-1800 rpm and even then should just be a mist. There should never be a detectable stream of water out the pipes.
