Could some one please tell me what the oil pan on a 460 sould be torqued to?

Just tighten until the gasket starts to squish a little. I have never seen anyone torque an oil pan.

It only requires a little pressure to hold and too much pressure will tweak the pan and gasket causing leaks.
The bolts running along the sides are 1/4 in. and need 7 to 9 ft-lbs.
The 5/16 in. bolts at the front and back need 9 to 11 ft-lbs.

Last time I torqued a small bolt I snapped it off. Most torque wrenches are not accurate in the bottom of their scale. As posted earlier go with feel 7-9 ft lbs. is just right any more & the gasket will distort. As a German mekanik told me tighten it goodintite.
