Always been curious to know what hull I have. Some people I have talked to say its a Sanger other say its a Tahiti, I have seen similar boats but I can never find one that has the angled transom like mine does.
Here are some pics and if you need more I will get some tomorrow when its sunny out wink

One thing I am sure of it was a thru hull exhaust before and it still has its bow tank. It also has a 455 olds.
(BTW these pics are old, it now has some nice 24 oz carpet :) , and a hydraulic place diverter. Going to order "The snoot" new steering wheel and Autometer GPS as soon as money allows.)
Thanks in advance!

Not a Sanger. Looks like the old 16 foot Tahiti a friend owned a long time ago. 455 and a bow tank, like yours.

What is the Hull ID # ? A Tahiti would start with TAH, but yours may be too old to have a Hull ID#.

foolish,
don't know who built your hull but I can tell you where it came from originaly. That was the third deck built for the little 16 Tahiti, this style having the higher transom and being tooled up for the little I/O's so the X could be raised up high enough. Before this deck, we used the jet hull for both jets and I/Os and the instalation wasn't as nice using the lower jet deck.
The 3rd deck was the outboard (first one tooled), it had the well for the clamp-on. The bottom for the Tahiti's came from a Glastron. Later came the Tarino (sidewinder) deck with the wrap around windshield, and even later, a bubble deck for the old 16.
My guess would be Tahiti, Sangar never splashed the Tahiti, but lots of other guys did.
boat looks great by the way.

I know this is an old posting. Does anyone have the pictures from above. I am looking at a 16 Tahiti outboard for sale. I would like to see how it looks in the water. The one I am looking at has a 1990 Force 125 motor on it. I needs alot of work.

What is the max power for this hull? I am looking at a 115 optimax.
