Okay Gang,
I just got off the phone with the Avi, and there are 2 rooms available. We have already exceeded our booking by 6 rooms and I was informed that if we need the other 2, the respective parties should call quickly. Once these rooms are gone, we are done with registration for the event. You will still be more than welcome to roll into the lagoon, but thats it for room at the Avi. To register your room, call the Avi at 1-800-AVI-2-WIN and ask for booking number 8481.
Thanks and see you in August,
Chris

i made my reservations a while back and cant wait for the event.
i was in laughlin over the 4th and wanted to see the AVI for the first time, so i took a boat ride down. i pulled into the lagoon and beached it. it wasnt but 5 minutes and a guy comes down kicking us all off the beach if we werent staying there. OK, i can see that. but i tried asking him were the rooms are so i can get an idea of how far i will have to walk to get to the beach and boats. (i am dissabled, partailly paralized from a motorcycle accident, and walk with two canes.) and this guy had only one thing to say. "you can use the curticy dock but you have to get off the beach now." i tell him i allready have a room for the CBBB and just want to know were the rooms are. he says, "you need to get off the beach now!" so i down whats left of my diet pepsi and scadaddle out of there.
I sure hope we get treated with a little more respect when we are there. i guess as long as we pay them they will talk to us. hummm?

Victor,
I'm sorry to hear you were treated as such when you stopped by. All I can go off of is how we were treated last year, and we weren't hastled at all. They do check your boat for the little tag they give you when you launch each day, but we're pretty good about getting everyone's back when folks that didn't stay at the avi come into the lagoon. I know Hustler and Rivercrazy didn't launch there last year, and to the best of my knowledge they weren't hastled when the tied up in the lagoon. Hopefuly this guy just had sand in his shorts and was pissed about having to walk around in the 120 Degree heat when you stopped by.
As far as the walk from the Hotel to the beach, its about 25 yards from the edge of the beach to the Casino entrance, then the distance of the casino floor to the elevators for the rooms.
See you in a couple of weeks,
Chris
