I'm selling my boat and would like a ballpark figure on my engines HP, just so I have something to tell prospective buyers. I keep hearing about pump curves, imp cuts, rpm's etc and some of you guys can pretty much tell what HP a motor has. I know it wont be axact. Also, what kind of speed can I expect (never gps'd), again a ballpark figure. Here's the info.
460, .60 over
Jacuzzi pump w/Energizer kit
AA impeller
4600 rpm's
18' Challenger 1978
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. depending on which kit you have. the aggressor AA at 4600 rpm takes 435hp. the American Turbine A2 takes 421hp to turn 4600rpm. So depending on which manufacturer you used for your kit would determine the hp. I would say that 425-450hp is a good guess.

jer if you reread his post you will notice he says it has the energizer kit. I know of only 2 manufacturers for the kit. Aggressor and American Turbine. I used the JPC to calculate using the specs for those manufacturers. Should be pretty close?

hey clown what's the next boat gonna be? I don't know yet. There's lots of options. I know I want a jet, big enough to haul more than four peeps, about 600-650 HP, maybe a deck?, small enough to run Blythe and big enough to survive Havasu once in a while.
