Well the jet boat bug has finally gotten the best of my parents and they just bought a super clean 19' Rogers Super Cyclone from a really nice guy who boats in Parker. This boat is immaculate and the guy really took good care of it. its powered by a healthy BBC, Berkeley 12JB split bowl pump with a stainless steel A impeller and runs pretty darn good.

BK- its a ride plate. The ajustable turn buckles make it pretty easy to ajust.

Definitely a clean ride. Looks like you scoped out a winner for your parents. Not to Hijack your thread, but could we get some pics of Hustler's Dad's newest addition? :) I think it would fit with the theme of this thread.

Very nice looking Rogers, when is the Rogers Regatta?
Cyclone, you should start a Roger Custom Boat web site. www.rogersboat.com. (http://www.rogersboat.com.)

Can't be fast with just one carb. Doesn't even have a sticker on it. Bet it runs on pump gas too. The midwest guys are gonna be all over this thing.
:D
(very nice!)

Mike,
great looking boat, but like I said in our phone call today, that's the 18 flat deck, not a 19. That bottom is the same as the 18 bubble that Todd has. Has more room inside than the bubble because of the shorter deck. Those deck/hull molds were still being used by Roger when he sold everything. Advantage got the bubble deck mold and another bottom mold.
Looks like someone took great care of her.

That is a great find! Where was it advertised? Have fun!

oh yeah,
keep a close eye on the HP your mom and pops put in that 18. With the right combo, they'll smoke your 19. the 18's a faster bottom. :D

thanks guys!
Hustler- No offense to your boy, but can you see why we went with this boat? So far we haven't put a dime into it other than a new boat cover.
Hackjob- i offered the old Cyclone to them and at the time they didn't have time to use it. A few weeks after I sold it they called and asked for it. Crappy timing. So i've been on the lookout for a boat that i wouldnt have to restore for them ever since.
socalpower- it wasn't advertised. I just happened upon it at Big River a few months ago and started talking to the guy who owned it. He wasn't exactly sure if he was selling it or not but i kept after him until he realized i was mildly obsessed with Roger's boats and sold it to my folks.
Oldrigger-its definately a lighter layup than my hull and the bottom is better so with equal power and setup i'd probably lose in a drag race. We aren't telling dad that. Can't let my old man beat me.

That boat looks super clean. Congratulations to your folks.
Any idea on the manufacturer of that scoop? I really like the lines on it.

Wow, nice looking boat. Will we be seeing it at CBBB '04?

cyclone
08-22-2003, 07:24 AM
TOM- cbbb04 is a possibility. im sure they'd be down for that trip.
blown428fe- my transom is a bit different. its got dropped chines that are squared off at the bottom. my dad's boat has the same bottom design as the 18' bonneville bubble deck boat.
Mohave- I haven't a clue who made the scoop although the owner did say that Roger was always designing and testing new ones. im sure we could get todd to splash one for ya if you wanted one.l;
