Stupid people suck. I am getting so sick of it. Had a couple of things happen this weekend that pissed me off.
I was floating by Park Moabi. Just chillin and drinkin an Dooly. My boat was pionted down river. I was close to the shore on the right side (lookin down river) Here comes a boat on my left headed to me. Was about 30' deep vee boat. He slows down to a point where he is not even really planing, (dont know what to call it, ) when the wake is the biggest and turns around behind me and then continues going down river. I saw 20' swells (not really 20' but huge) comming right at the rear of my little 18' jet. I really beilve that there was a damn good chance my boat would have gone down if I did not fire her up and learch forward. I am lucky I was in the drivers seat and not in the water. I yelled at the guy and he was like " what did I do" He was only 30 ' or so away when he passed and tuned around.
And then later in the day, I was crusing up form topock and a guy flagged me down. He was real close to the rocks on the AZ side of the river. It was about a 28' boat. He said he was broke and wanted a tow to the Maobi Marina. It was just across the river. I saw two little kids and a mother that looked worried. So I said I would tow him to the calm channel but not all the way in. He said thats all he wanted, he could fix his boat but not in the rough water. He tied on with a longer than usual rope, I towed him across the river with flags out on my boat a his. As we are getting close the the channel, 3 other boats see whats going on, My little 18' jet pulling a big boat. (Either that or he was pushing me with a stiff rope)!!! They all stop and let me have the right of way and let me go first. I am part way in the channel and make the turn way wide because of the long rope and did not want to send the guy I am towing in to the rocks. Here comes the is ass, still pulling a wake squeezeing between my left and the shore. There was not a lot of room. What was this guy thinking?? I said "HEY" and pionted to the rope behind me and he just looked at me and pointed to the sign that said no wake that is about 200 yds in channel.
I dont get it. I hate stupid people.
By the way, it was kinda cool towing a big boat with my little ride!! ITs also nice being on that side of the rope!!!
