Dan,
Basically boils down to I'd rather have my wife in the boat than the blower :D
She doesn't have a problem with the power, she just doesn't like the "whine" they put out.

Cas,
You definitely don't want "whining" coming from two different sources. eek! :D

Does the blower come with the carb?
Is it ready to bolt on?

Dave,
I'm not sure what's happening although I'm sure there's something going on. I haven't checked the LBBA calendar lately to see what's up.
I'm pretty sure my wife and I will be going to the center of town here in Sonoma. They shoot the fireworks off right over our heads, it's pretty cool. I have been thinking about heading to a lake and having the same thing done....tough to break a tradition though.
Brent,
Nope, the carb stays with me and yes, the blower is ready to go after you bolt it on. There are a few things that you may have to do though, with the fuel system.
higher gph fuel pump
larger fuel lines
boost referrence the carb
may need to modify the alternator hook-up a little
