I'm painting my boat, so the pump has to come out. Just curious where to get rebuild kits for the pump. Not sure I'll need everything in the kit but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have some spares. Where is the best place to buy these kits?

I'm not baggin on the YJ, I own one myself. Just want to ask if you are sure it's worth the effort to rebuild it? The YJ is not a mixed flow pump & will never perform anything like a WJ or berk for that matter. I'd talked to Jack McClure and Duane Oblander both about my pump & they both said the exact same thing. Put an energizer kit in it. The kit converts the pump to a way more effecient mixed flow system like a berk.
Anyway, the best deal I found on the kits was from Duane himself. Duane's shop carries the kit, and they also carry a fully assembled YJ/Energizer pump as well. The full pump works like buying an alternator from Napa. Buy the pump & send yours back for a core. This is the webpage.

Hickz3... I have a sale going on for those kits installed but you would have to send it out to Nor Cal, may not be worth it. Jim www.performancejet.com (http://www.performancejet.com)
