I may be a little slow...but would it work? Or will the presence of water in the exhaust screw it all up?

Might be a little more O2 in there with the H2O!
Interesting post tho.

Absolutely will not work.

Well, that was easy enough wasn't it?

The only way I see it working would be to put 8 o2 sensors in that bitce before the water injection.....good luck trying to loop thoes ****ing things together to give you a reading tho....Why would you want an o2 reading anyways?

It will not work. For an o2 sensor to work properly, it must reach a normal EGT. You would have to inject your water not only after the sensor, but far enough after the sensor to ensure that reversion does not cool it off. Also, sometimes headers, because of there thin wall design, do not retain enough heat to make the sensor work anyways, but there are companies making sensors with a small heating element in them to correct the problem.

You need an oxygen sensor to monitor the fuel/air ratio in the exhaust. My buddy has an adjust-a-jet and has a sensor in the dry loop of his logs.It works great,he has a jetboat and gets almost 4 miles/gallon!!I must say if you had water JACKETED headers and could have a bung made that went all the way through the jacket into the hot part of the tube you'd be in business.
