Sure looks like a Semi-V to me, although the deck does look real similar to a CP. Nice lookin' boat in any event.

definatly not a cp. the cp has a certain rasied part down the center of the deck. the top deck looks alot like a southwind, but the shore line is covering the bottom entry line, so i cannot see that part. Who knows so many of the boats have been copied and splashed, i cannot tell.

That boat was a Jetfest 2003 at Lake Corpus Christi this past Memorial day. I took a couple of pics of the boat but didn't talk to the owner. You may go to ***boat central and look under "Jetfest the results are in" and look for a post from Kelly Cravens "Old Faithful Squirter" and check with him as to the owner of the boat. He maybe able to tell you what kind of boat it is.

Condor and Texas tunnels are diffrent companies.Condor made a TX 19 gullwing and 18 ft and 20 ft Tx tunnels all copies of the TX youngblood hulls.Condor all so made a 18 ft Sprint witch this very could be.Texas tunnels are or the ones I have seen a 16 or 17 ft tunnel hull The Texas tunnels did come from TX design.I hope all you Caliy guys do not think CP came up with the Gullwing design .It was a Youngbloods in the first place.Condor made a good boat.

Looking at the pic agine it does look pretty wide so it probely is a TX19 Condor(gullwing style bottom).

Pretty sure thats a Southwind, The seats dont look quite rite though.Someone else noted the bow lite. Southwinds didnt come with any lites. The target (Paint scheme) Is correct. Anthony also used the same target from 1975-79 could be an Anthony with those seats.
Another Southwind sign is the coast guard cert will list the builder as Gem Craft.
Hope this helps.

Good job Jake W. If it says Condor on the side it was built by Condor Custom Boats in Oklahoma. It is more than likely a TX19. The tx design was designed by Earl Smith as a bass boat. Then he cut the sides down and made a lower profile sport boat. I have no idea when Scotten got the molds. That is what I remember anyway, I could be wrong.

Quote from Jack from mpd on another board
Gullwings went like this--->Youngblood--->Earl Smith--->Bill Scotten--->zillion copies. The 18 and 19 have the same bottom but different sides and deck. 19 sides flare way out for more interior space. 18 is the kick ass river racer. How about this---> CP18 Gullwing and CP19 tunnel use the exact same deck mold. Bill has told me the history of these boats before but I can't remember very well.
Condor got the original youngblood molds i believe. Could be wrong again though.

Scotten PAID Earl Smith for his particular molds, then made CHANGES to them. Look at the sides of an 18ft. CP and a Youngblood where the sides begin and you'll see the difference. The Youngblood's in general were lighter. Scotten added more fiberglass to the sides on the boats for recreational customers in the mid 80's after they complained of "wavy" sides due to less glass.

So what came first, the Southwind or the Jen (Gem?) Craft boats?
I have an 18ft. Jen Craft boat myself...and it looks just like a Southwind.

Dog, The original bass boat was an Apollo. Youngblood worked for them. When they went broke, Jim took one of those old bass boat bottoms and made the first TX-19. He made 4 different molds when he was working for Dan Parturinne. (Thus the different strands and models). Later they went to Earl Smith. Any boat made by Condor would have a serial number on the back that could be looked up. Condor made good boats.

I still think its a southwind top deck, or a copy of one.. Look at the groove in front of the gas caps. Maybe not, but thats my vote.

Tmott, I think your Sleekcraft is the Kouai model (probably spelled wrong) which looks to me like a Southwind with a different deck, my Sleek is the Sportster, also a Southwind splash with a slightly different contour to the bubble and a late sixties Corvette type spoiler on the tail.

Is rivertard's boat (the green/white boat pictured a couple posts above) a Southwind? My hull is exactly like his, even down to the paint scheme.
Interesting thing is that I'm going to repaint my and I'm in the process of sanding off the old paint job. When I finally got down to the gel, it is exactly the same type of graphics as rivertard's boat, but it's gold/red metalflake. On my pink slip, the boat is listed as a Gem Craft.

I have an 18ft. Jen Craft boat myself...and it looks just like a Southwind. southwind came first, was "taken over" by a fellow named jennings, and became jen-craft in the late 70's. my '80 is a "southwind by jen-craft".
