My brother's boat is missing. At idol, it wants to stall out. But it runs good over 2500 rpms. And also it is spiting fuel out the exhaust pipes. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with it?

Could Be an Intake Leak.

Yes, it sounds like a carb problem, However it could also be an ignition problem that won't fire all the cylinders, resulting in un burned fuel in the headers, or really late initial timing, (as it picks up at 2500), and you have to remember that low compressed fuel is really hard to light. What is the history of the engine/problem. Has it been sitting, or running good and suddenly started misfiring?..Plugs, wires, cap, coil?? ....Moneypitt

When I first saw this thread, I was going to have your brother check the engine compartment. 9 times out of 10 missing engines are found there... wink
J/K of course. What everyone else said. Good advice. I personally think it is carbs, or needle and seats. I don't think you would ever be able to get a large enough quantity of fuel through the port on a mere ignition problem to have it hemorrhaging out the pipes.
