this post is mainly directed at the over 50 age group and for those who r very knowledgeable of Holley carbs...i am desperately seeking (susan) a Holley 850cfm...dbl pumper...mech sec...list # 4296...anyone with any info on where i might find one or anyone who has one...would be greatly appreciated

I checked with Holley Performance warehouse in Bowlingreen, KY and they say the 4296 carb has been obsolete for several years and no one has one left in stock. Also there is not a suberseding number. Duane

Why the stagger jetting on this particular carb? It uses 3 different size jets, 78s 80s and 82s. What Corvette manifold did this carb mount on? :confused:

058...this carb was used to keep cyl's 4 & 5 from running lean at WOT...it was used on some of the BBC (396/402/427HiPo) with the factory alum hi-rise manif during the 60's
