distributor problems

Hey guys she's playing games on me again. this time after breaken the cam in for about 15 minutes I shut her off and she would not start back up. I finally check the wires ect. Come to notice that I get juice through the one wire that goes to the distributor. since I have a points set up I want to change to a petronics elctronics. would I have to hook up an MSD box or something of equivalent? Or can I just hook the petronics to the coil?
Any body have good experience with the petonics ?

You do not need the MSD ignition. All you need is the pertronix kit and a stock or aftermarket coil.

I would buy that new model Pertronix 2 module. It has a variable dwell for a better recharge on the coil as the rpm's go up. That would be my choice. :D
