So you'll be up there until Sunday, eehhh?
Maybe I can sneak off and get a ride in that bad boy elim.! It sure looks sweet in the pics!!! I think you scored when you found that boat. Lucky dog!
Maybe I'll give you a yell on the marine band Sunday, if I can make it out of here, so be listening. Is your pops going up too?

Motor is shoved way back in it. It looks nice. You guys noticed the same thing I did.

is there any advantage or disadvantage to having the motor so far back ? its seems the further back you will have more pressure in the hull, maybe lift it higher or maybe you wont be able to get enough air through the back and it wont lift as high ??? who knows. I noticed on pickle the load's boat the motor is up pretty far, no backseat space, but racingfiasco's boat was way way back, lots of rear space room.

True, in all of the 19' Race Daytonas or even the 19 footer Tom Papp makes (sorry cant think of the name) the motors are more mid ship with a solid drive shaft, or at least alot further foward than the above pics...The 19 footers (tunnels) I see on the rivers are like the above pics...I would belive it's to gain as much room in the boat for seating.

Heatseeker, Going up on Sat mid-day until dark on Sun. We will be on PP2 or Too Loose helping Chuck. I will listen for ya.
SB540. You have a lot of room to talk. Dont make me post that picture of you w/ the old lady and the dog. cry
Everyone else, Thanks i love the boat. cant wait till summer :D The only reason i know of to put the motor back is for seating like you said. It makes it a bitch to work on. Had to pull the motor recently to work on the fuel pump
Heatseeker: The 220hr has a bypass by the way>>..

Hallet it can totally change the ride and attitude of the boat at speeds. For normal lake boats this is not a huge deal. I would think that most people would opp to get the most room as long as it is not compromising ride.
