Well, no one knew if he was going to make it on time, because when we left to go watch the races, Cyclone was just pulling his boat out of the water, and he needed gas. He got directions from a river local on how to get there because I was still a little unsure of the exact route, but I just knew how to get there. So, when we heard another boat fire up and looked out to see Mike, we where so stoked that he made it.
Here is Cyclone just after dropping in along the river warming up the motor.

And now going up river to get in a hot lap

Now going back down where you line up to race up river.

Choppy out there, but he sure did lay down some nice passes.
And some people just don't get it when it comes to racing down there. When the boats are down river, don't drive to the other side of the river in the middle of racing!

Because then it makes rollers that cause boats to go from having a good set to getting aired out.

What is a "set"? Is that important?
LOL!
I am hoping I have inched the flatty a bit closer to taking a set by moving the motor forward, and some mods to the bottom. But it is so much fun to aired out! (Fun to watch the passeger's expressions that is! eek! )

Has Cyclone's boat been GPS'd? If not what's it running in, the 90's?

That last pic is a good one.
:) When i ran the flat at LL memorial weekend there were some idiots driving back and forth also it can get annoying plus makes it a dangerous situation for a triple digit run

Nice pics Randy and great congrats to Mike for putting together one fine boat. I didn't know what to expect but you got respect from some people down there.
I'll bet you've been watching the video 24/7 :D

Hardin18- my boat ran 92mph on the gps the 2nd trip to the river. I've made a few changes since then and i think i'm going a bit faster. Haven't had to chance to gps it again yet.
