Just wondering exactly what i should do to my boat before storing it for the winter? i have a BBC with a dominator pump. Do i need to do anything to them? I live in socal so i know the wheather wont really affect anything. But, does the water from my last run just sit in the motor or does it evaporate? I was thinking that it would prob be bad to have watere sitting in a motor for 3-4 months. What about the pump? I didnt really worry about this stuff with my old boat ,but now that i have a new boat i wanna make sure i do things right...thanks

Storing a boat for the winter? Hmmm....never crossed my mind. Too busy running them or working on them.

Change the oil.
Drain the water.
Back off the valve springs.
WD-40 the cylinders.
Drain the fuel from the pump and carb, shoot in WD-40.
Stabil the fuel in the tanks.

No, No, No.....JetBoatRich had it right. Take it out and change the water. In San Diego area you should be runnin' that thing 365 days a year! I would. Of course, I was out today running in 52 deg weather at 100+ mph...

there is a rumor of possible winter weather this week, Rain. As long as there is sunshine next Sunday when I am in San Diego watching the Broncos come to town.
