Thanks, Don I have a Weiand Tunnel Ram (Rect. Port) for sale with 750 DP's and linkage. The tunnel ram is chrome, and it has 1" plenium spacers with 1" ARP stainless carb studs. The carbs are 6109's and have been completely tricked by DNE. I'm asking 600 for the carbs, or 700 for everything. That's exactly what I have into them. These carbs came off a motor making over 800hp racing in the NJBA.
Let me know if your interested...

Hey hbjet, how can you tell if your heads are oval or rectangular ports? I know the casting # under the valve cover will tell you, but is there another way?
The motor is a Harman Marine 454 with 405hp.

The motor is a Harman Marine 454 with 405hp. on the square port heads, the intake runners almost hit the top and bottom of the casting. at the top and bottom it is flat for an inch or so.
The oval port heads dont get to close to the top of the casting and is round at the top (oval) not flat (square port).

Is there a way to tell without taking the intake or valve covers off? I'm lazy.

Just take off the valve covers. 7 bolts! You can't be that lazy, you own a jet. If you had an I/O, I'd understand then.

OK,
this looks like the "tunnel ram for sale forum" so I'll jump in as well.....
Also for sale... (http://forums.***boat.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=001847)
Edit: Mohavekid, if you are asking the question because you are interested in these manifolds, the rectangular port set up fits on an oval port head, some say it is an advantage to do it that way...

Ok I won't be lazy.
I'll take off one of the valve covers next week.
Burbanite, I'm asking because I am interested. I've heard the mis matched parts fit, but I've also heard that the mis-match causes turbulence and problems.
Thanks for the info.

I ran a Rect. tunnel ram on oval port heads for a few years, and the boat ran pretty good. You wouldn't think so, but it did. Also, you would be wise to get any intake rect. if you ever plan on getting better heads!
