That topic answered about 99% of all my questions, but one. Is there a drain plug for the gear oil, and if so does it need to be drained or flushed for maintance reasons? Mine doesn't leak or need much added, but wondering if it needs "more" service than just adding?

The drain / fill plugs are on the top of the bowl at 10 & 2 o'clock.(see the pic in that thread) Remove both plugs. Pump it in either one till lube comes out the other. If your changing instead of adding, keep pumping until the lube comes out clean. Usually the old lube will be a little cloudy. Easier if you get a couple of 1/4npt barb fittings and clear hose from the hardware store.
