Does any body have any tips on getting the pump back in the boat? I'm putting it in this weekend and I have never put one in. I took it out with no problems. Also how fast should my boat run. Its a 18' Spectra 468 bbc with a new blueprinted berkeley pump w/ AB impeller. Thanks for any info!!!!!!

Hey Havasu DCB...........your star rating is a little on the low side :( and I don't know you from a hole in the wall, but thought I would help out! For some reason it still shows only one star. Good Luck on your pump!

H DCB,
Putting it in is easier than taking it out. Just take your time. I know I don't have to say this, but STAINLESS ONLY!!!Careful the the bowl o ring.
What did Greg tell you to expect in speed? He does a real good job. He did my jet 2 years ago and I have not had a lick of trouble.
If you need help, E mail me. Id be more than happy to help.

I have found that wheel grease is very helpful
when replacing the transom cover and using a
nice fat new o-ring.
Many of my boating buddies do not use the o-ring
and seal with silicone instead, but I prefer the o-ring myself

It didn't have an o-ring when I took it off, just silicone. Do I need one?

Toss the O-Ring...use a Marine Grade Silly Cone. Nice clean beed. (NOT CAULK!) Also for the large flat gasket between the intake and suction piece...just coat the with white grease...it will never leak and it falls apart if you ever need to take it apart.

H DCB,
Silicone is just as good as the O ring as long as you get a good seal. Use a good bead and don't miss any place. It's hell chasing a bowl leak
Have fun
