Here's a pic of my boat on the trailer. http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/521/361DCP04208-med.JPG
My trailer has 4 bunks and a floater bar to hold the boat. I have noticed that some trailers have a little V-shaped "miniature bunk" or a roller to support the front of the hull. This little "bunk" is usually mounted near the spot where the floater bar mounts. While trailering my boat, the trailer "see saws" back and forth about the trailer axles. I have a couple questions.  Will adding a little V-shaped bunk cure my "see-saw" problem? Also, what are the pros and cons of having the little V-shaped bunk? What's the purpose of the little V-shaped bunk? If it matters, my hull is 18'6" long.
Thanks

Major cons of that little v thingy:
1.) If you come on the trailer too fast, the bow eye hits it and forces it to flip down, making it useless.
2.) Tends to dull the finish of the bow over time
3.) Just one more thing to line up when trailering
4.) Just one more part to break

I would say don't mess with it.
I had the same problem on my 18' Challenger and Coyote trailer. I added the v-bunk up front and all it ended up doing was rubbing the paint off the bow where it rested on the v-bunk.
My current trailer just has the float bar and I just try to load stuff in the front of the boat to add weight and stop some of the see saw action.
Good luck.

I put a tie down from the bow eye straight down to the trailer frame to prevent the see saw.

Hey Nubbs- Is that a Beismeyer? Looks real similar to mine- if it is, how does it ride?

HB It's a Nordic. It really likes smooth water, but a little bit of rough is tolerable.

My trailed has something similar to the Miniature Bunk you are describing. But my trailer is a drive on trailer. The trailer actually floats; the tube steel frame and fiberglass fenders trap air causing it to float. When loading you drive the boat on and its own weight pushes the bunks down as you go. Then you just lift the bow and drop the bow eye in the front Mini Bunk.
