what is the difference between berkely jet pumps,say a 12jg versus a 12jc. is it pump volume, efficiency,etc. or just different mounting schemes?

The biggest difference between a JC and the JG is the bowl. The JG has a split bowl, which means you can add a droop or wedges. The JC does not have a split bowl - meaning you will need a new bowl if you want to add a droop snoot.
