anybody no were to get tanks fixed herd they can weld and coat in side :( any around local

It can be welded, I tig welded a bung on my gas tank. I let my tank sit empty for three weeks, ran a hose with 10 lbs pressure of argon flooding the tank while you weld.A good tig welder can do it no problem.

Raskal, we bought this coating stuff for the tank on our 55 Chevy Pick up when we went through it. I do not remember the name of it. What it does is ruberize the inside of your tank. Had no problem with it for 5 + years. Ask Vdrive, he will know, I will ask also...God Luck. Joe

Filling the tank with argon is a good idea, Also filling the tank with water and putting it so that the area to be welded is at the top, just above the water level works good also.

And if the guy your weldin it for says "Whattayamean it's gonna cost 40 bucks."
Tell him if he stands right next to you while you weld it you'll do it for free! (I havn't had any takers yet) Peace Man
