Well the motor is almost back together , finishing it up in the morning and runing it in on the test stand, then over one stand to the Dyno. Looking forward to hearing it fire up and run. So anyone want to guess HP #'s
Here are the specs.
BBC 454 punched out to .40 over
forged dome top pistons
10.00-1 CR
oval port heads fully ported and polished
heads decked
block decked
quench to 30 thousands
comp cam 232/237 547/547 lift 110 Degree roller
degreed cam
roller rockers
Wieand high rise
2 holley 660's
Standard Accel electronic ignition( NO POINTS )
that is all I can think of now,
Looking forward to seeing what it will produce.
What do you think?

What about exhaust?
That motor is almost identical to mine except I have a 580 lift cam and large valves. Are goal was between 500-550hp, so thats my guess.

YEs it has tha large valves put in the heads. I like the west coast # thing vs the east coast thing LOL. Iam going to be conservative and say about 450... Would like to see 500 but wife says no to ot headers and I will wait till next spring to get a set of water jacketed thru transom headers....
Hope this thing works out....

no sticker. that would add at least 100hp and therefore cause controversy.

I don't know just tryin to keep the wife happy... we also have some serious noise issues to deal with here and trying to not make any waves with the locals on our little lake here. I like them but I too like the water jacket header as well. kind of like being in stealth mode. You know what I mean?

My old engine 461 CID 030 454 made 615hp but it was only 9.8 comp. But the heads were old Lee Shepard heads with big valves in them and a big cam.I say big .700 valve lift not big to me.But I dynoed it here in Texas so what would it make on the East or West coast confused being in a happy central location that I'am.Had to through that in for HBjet and Cyclone.
LOL you know your shit is nice and runs good also
