It is a '79 Sleekcraft Jr. Executive. It's a 23? footer. It has a Panther and accessories for ford, no motor. What's it worth?

What you have is called a 23' Executive. I don't know what market would be on that boat, but they were well made, and are still popular with S/C fanatics.
Here's a shot of it and some specs.

We're doing an engine job for a guy and he wants to trade us the boat for part of his bill. Just curious how much of the job we should be willing to trade for it. It's not as nice as he talked it up. The best part of the gel is the woodgrain and it's not perfect. We would be getting the interior and the rear deck too. It needs lots of work, but I think it would be a cool boat when finished. I'm just not sure I wanna be the guy finishing it.

That's a real nice hull for flying across the rivers. It's more comfortable than anything so depends on what you like.

Roost, actually it's a Jr. Executive. It doesn't have the side windows or creature comforts that the one in your brochure has.
Phat, that's what I was thinking. It would be a slug, but take the bumps pretty good.

Ya know, I haven't measured it yet. That's just what the guy said it was. I'll double check.

Trade the engine work for the S/C AND the 65/6 coupe under the tarp!

The boat's at our shop. That 'stang is my (12 yr old) cousin's 66 (289/auto). Here's a shot of the 65 we recently fixed up for his older brother. We put a 302 in it out of a 79 lincoln. It has a performer, 600 holley, and tri-y headers. He gets his licence in two weeks, any guesses on how long it will look like this?

OK, I was trying to be nice to the Sleek Craft owners. Tell the owner that you need $100.00 and you will haul the boat to the dump for him.

Malcolm,
Nice 65! Couldn't he get something a little more, uh, expendable?
I tend to favor Mustangs :D Here's my latest, 68 390 GT, built FE, 4 spd toploader, 3.50 detroit locker. Unfortunately, it doesn't get out much (only has 300 miles since the resto 3 years ago)

We've all been telling my Uncle he's nuts, but he thinks he'll do alright. We are all picturing it wrapped around a telephone pole in the near future. eek!
By the way, good job on the '68!

I'm willing to bet it is a 21. I'm gonna get the tape out tomorrow and check. I guess the guy who has it has a well known problem with telling the truth.

No offence to anyone who owns a Sleekcraft but they are not very good boats. Typical chopper gun lay up with poor craftsmanship. Today under Magic ownership they have gotten worlds better but the old ones not so hot. Don't shave more than 500-700 off that guys bill for that boat as a trade.

Hot Hallet, I was looking at a late seventies sleek craft a couple of months ago. While looking in the engine compartment area I remember seeing woven fabric clearly. What gives?
This was a tunnel

OK, it is a 21, I should have known that guy didn't even know what he had. I've never seen a Panther jet before, they sure went about things different huh!

Hey Chris, mine's still apart. Everytime the sun comes out I feel the need to hit the river. I still have a few pieces to collect before I can put the motor back together.
