What an awesome weekend! I volunteered via Jon Baker of Pacific Dive and Rescue, to be a patrol boat for this race. I'd like to thank him for that opportunity. Not only did I see a fantastic race, but I got to meet Bob Teague and his driver John Talley. Here's a few pics....

In this picture, you can see my small 18ft' jet at the end of the line next to the houseboat!

I actually got a picture with me and Bob Teague and John Talley.

This accident happened after the race. I don't think anyone was hurt.

Thanks so much for your help!! The #40 Ettore/Kidstuff boat flipped on the first lap. Both Greg and Coby were totally unhurt (although I bet they could use a little Icy-hot today!!) the results are:
Super Cat: Renegade
Super Cat Light: Liquid Metal
Factory 2: Speedwear
Factory 1: Flashwave
Performance 1: Holtz Racing
Performance 2: Colledgewood Racing
Performance 3: Purple Hayes
Performance 4: Covey Racing
Please say your prayers for the Con-Q-Bine crew. I'm sure they will fully recover from their injuries, but one was hurt pretty badly. I am not able to divulge any details, so, please don't ask.
Other than that it was a great day of racing. The Super Cat show was spectacular!! Thanks to Johnny and Hugh with the Drambuie on Ice team and Steve and Lance with the Out of Bounds team for coming out and making this race a most memorable one. Come see us in Ventura for the Pacific Offshore Finale on September 29. This is BIG water racing at its best!!

I'd like to thank you for the initial post last Tuesday that got me the tip so I had the chance to participate in such a great event.
I was going to help with the flipped cat after the race, but I don't think my small boat could've done squat to assist. Thanks again for the tip to participate, I had a great time!

No Problem, Buddy. We appreciate your help more than you can imagine!! We need folks like yourselves to save our lives!! If you can, try to make it to Ventura on the 29th of this month. All the Patrol Boat drivers and official participants will get their name in a hat for a drawing of a new set of American Racing wheels. Hope the bait last weekend was enough to get you permanently hooked!! see ya out there!!

Nice pics! Sounds like you had a good time. I saw some these guys trailering up and down I-5 on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
By the way, who was it that hooked you up with that John Baker guy? wink wink

By the way, who was it that hooked you up with that John Baker guy? wink wink It was a real convoluted way I got in touch. I started with the official website and talked to a Ms. DiPierno (sp.) She then got me in touch with Pacific Dive and Rescue, and then ultimately to John Baker. It was a lot of dancing from Tuesday to Sunday to get everything confirmed.
Day was great, they placed me in NY Slough to keep me out of deep water and heavy chop. I ended up tying up under a huge dock in the shade and just sat on the bow with some friends and had a great time! Did you make it? I was looking out for you, but didn't see you. Hope things are well.
Here's some more pics...

Thats a great shot of the parade lap. Contact Kim at www.thegraphicsco.com (http://www.thegraphicsco.com) . she is our official photographer and webmistress. She was unable to make it to the race and might want to post some of your pics on the Pacific Offshore website.
