That was, always will be, Shaq's line.
It was a great put down......
But, if the Rapists lose in Sac on Tuesday, Sac is in 7th place in the west.

Kobe is a great player and has been on quite a roll this year.
He is also a rapist and a crappy human being.
Good luck in the Playoffs.

Try this year LF. Live in the present moment...Isn't that what Kobe always says or is it the head zen master PJ? lol
THUD!
Thats easy to say now, most of us LF's were there from the beginning and enjoyed every minute of it.
BTW: Mihm out is going to hurt. He was having a great game yesterday, I think he had 12 points in the first quarter or something. But, it is always more playing time for Bynum, which he needs.

No doubt Kobe is a handful and can take over a game anytime..... I look at the records and think shit id rather have kobe and the other no names then our team with some good players. Man for man the kings are better, I just dont know how much Kobe by himself over shadows that.
With the addition of artest the kings have become a much better team. hell id rather win 85-80 then lose 123-121 anyday. we are starting to look like detriot west. I watched Kobe the other nite act like an ass when things didnt go his way, thats my issue with him, and I think he does so much even at his young age he will wear down and its starting to show.
Limit Kobe and we have a good shot, you cant stop him but if he takes 28 shots to get 25 points ill take that.
No shack no webber and peja, completely different teams now then before....

Do not discount the Lakers role players. Lamar Odom is good, Smush Parker can take over and Chris Mihm has a great finese around the hoop. If we were talking Clippers vs. Lakers, then maybe we can compare players, but the Lakers have better players than the Kings.

Sorry Dan, I can't agree with you on this one. The Kings are better at every postion except the two guard. Same goes for the Clippers. I would say except small forward as well, but you never know which Lamar is going to show up.

ssmike
03-13-2006, 07:52 PM
You can't possibly believe that Lamar Odom is better than a healthy Corey Maggette, day in and day out. Forget the offensive numbers, which Maggette would clearly dominate, he is at least twice the defensive player that Odom is. Odom is a better rebounder and better at disappearing for long stretches of the game. ;)
Odom is a CHUMP. He disappears for several games at a time. Let us not forget that he lost the last game in Sac........Smush is a horrible defender and a marginal offensive threat.
The Lake show should waive Kwame Brown and Walton. No one else in the league wants them. Mihm is decent but now is hurt.
The Kings are better at every position except 2 guard.
Having said all that, the Lakers remain a good road team.
The PRIZE in the West is the 6 seed - gets to face Denver in Round 1 while the 7 seed plays at Phoenix and the 8 at either San Antionio or Dallas.

What's the extent of the injury to Mihm? anybody

03-13-2006, 08:24 PM
I forgot the Kings have Artest, that makes them a whole lot better.
Lamar Odom
Points 14.1
Rebounds 9.2
Assists 5.4
Steals .95
Blocks .89
Odom is not too bad, those are fair numbers for someone around Kobe.
George and Walton have been playing EXCELLENT off the bench.
I still think the Lakers have a better team. These two same teams met 3 weeks ago and the Lakers got them by 21 points.
Tomorrow should be a good game.

id be happy with the 6th or 7th seed . i have no fear of denver and we can hang with pheonix. althoough we beat dallas last night , Im not sure about a 7 game series with them.
dmontza as far as the lakers having a better team man for man yes you are smoking dope. after Kobe who would you take on your team over Artest?? thats what i thought
now surround Kobe with Bibby artest, bonzi, sharief, miller, theyed win it all baby . id be willing to bet you the zen master would trade odom for any one of these guys in a heart beat. then take your next best player and do it again guess what zen will take them all straight up and watch Martin light them up if they dont gaurd him tomorrow

acatitude
03-13-2006, 08:34 PM
nothings wrong with sharief this year hes playin on a team where hes not 1st option. he just came back from a broken jaw last week and hes coming off the bench with bonzi. he isnt playin as many minutes cuzz thomas is starting and playing great . we finally have a bench with him and bonzi and they both have been hurt. still have garcia hurt and that boy can play some D for a rookie. he is a shot blocker even at 6/7.

acatitude
03-13-2006, 08:42 PM
they did start off shitty and peja just quit on the team. bibby and miller arent leaders, and martin wasnt doing nothing till he got some playin time. Kings are I think 13-7 since artest came over. he is providing some leadership and has brought some defense to that pussy team. I think the others are just fowling suite and like i said id rather win 85-80 then lose 123-121. we can now win games when we dont score 110 points.
Dallas was a great win for there confidence, so the laker game will be another good test of how far theyve come. they play a lot of tough teams the next week so they need to beat the lakers cuzz i dont see them storming thru san antonio, but we will see.

Brad Miller averages 15 points, 8 rebs and 5 assists a game.
They seem pretty even.
Its all going to change when the Lakers get Garnett next year.
BTW: How are the Clippers getting handled by the T-Wolves on their home court? The good ole NBA that is the same thing the Lakers have been doing all year.

We will see...remember Garnett has a home in L.A. he has already been commenting on how he thinks Kobe is one of the greats.
Plus, the Kings would have to break up the great chemistry you speak of. That would change the entire team.

It's only 6 points at the half. For this Clippers team, that's 30 seconds of good defense, they've been doing it all season.
You are living in some kind of homer la la land fantasy world. The Kid is signed through 2008-2009. The only way the Lakers are going to get Garnett and his $30M a year contract is to somehow free up another $10M in cap room and somehow acquire the rights to 3 players that the Wolves would want. The only player they'd trade for that's a Laker right now is Kobe and I'm not wholly sure Minnesota would even make that trade, were it presented.
The Lakers are going to have some cap space next year. They have a few expiring contrats. Also, the T-Wolves said they would only let him go if he wanted, and he seems pretty damn un-happy right now.
I have been watching, the Clippers have been down all game, it is not looking good, we will see what they can do.

Only if the Kings move to New York and change their name to the Knicks. Or unless the Maloofs decide to trade a casino for him. :D
1st option if artest stays clean= artest miller martin for garnett
2nd option bibby miller and one of the kids for garnett
the numbers work and garnett wants out. i figured theyed get him before the peja trade for peja miller and maybe bibby. tough to let bibby go but you need a superstar to win.
take kobe off the lakers and they die.
take any player off the kings and without kobe the kings win every game

03-13-2006, 09:03 PM
The Lakers have 7 expiring contracts within the next year, the biggest being George. Odom and George alone make what Garnett makes.

I am going to say this and deep inside, I am sure you will agree. I know you will, cause you are a Clippers fan and have watched from the sidelines for years.
The Lakers are gearing up for another BIG star. From the sidelines, you have seen nothing but stars on the Lakers for many, many years. Not just one (like Kobe) but atleast 2-3. Jerry Buss has owned the team through all of them, he is no dummy. The Lakers are just patiently sitting it out and waiting. They are going to make a BIG move within the next 1-2 years, which will put them back in the top 4 in the West. The Lakers have NEVER been a team to stay out of the running long.
BTW: I would like to see those McHale quotes, that sounds pretty unprofessional.

You're the one that called it over before the half. And, they have your superstar and savior, Kevin Garnett, who was summarily outplayed by Chris Kaman. 24 points, 23 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 blocks. Maybe the Lakers should make a push for Kaman instead. ;)
That was phenominal, like I said, great comeback and game against the T-Wolves!
