How's the lake for V-drive boats? Is there a lot of traffic up there?

We are going to try to hit the lake Sunday if we get the boat back. Just had a new VIP trailer made. The trailer we had was from FL, one of those salt water beauties. eek! eek! I would love to check Roosevelt out, but it's a long drive for one day. If we go it will probably be to pleasant. Anybody else going to Pleasant on Sunday???

Havasu was great. The weather was perfect, not too hot. We spent all day Saturday on the boat. Stopped and checked out Cattail Cove. It's really a nice place. We are planning on staying there for the June 20th. weekend. Are you guys going to OP6C?? Still have not gone to the sandbar, hopefully next trip out. :D Did you guys make it to the sandbar??

Hey u V-drive guys the ramp at Windy Hill is open, the lake is pretty full(about 10-12ft from old high water mark) that pic is from the first part of May this year. As long as its not windy its a great lake for low profiles. Traffic has been light but the word may be getting out, if its shitty its only another 45 min to Burnt Corral at Apache which kicks ass.

I have never been to Pleasant on a holiday weekend. I have been to Parker on the holiday weekends, now that is scary. eek! eek! You get some newbie boater that doesn't know the river and add in a few Roadrapers and you have big problems.

91 Nordic, did you stay at Cattail Cove?? We checked out the ramp there, Do you have any problems pulling your Nordic out of the water? The ramp seems to drop off real quick??

91Nordic, thanks for all the info. We tow with a diesel Excursion, so power is not a problem, but with a new trailer and being in a new place I just get a little nervous. I prefer to be the designated drinker :D :D instead of having to deal with the boat loading.

that is also my duty! teehee. one of these days i will have to learn one or the other, though. when we had an 18' carrera, i did the boat part but with this 29 footer, i havent done anything but take the trailer back UP the hill at pleasant. on of these days i will have to back it down. eek!

haulnz, ps
did i tell you that they show "fgamily type" movies at the amphitheatre at cattail on the weekends? they start at about 8 o'clock. it is pretty cool to be sitting outside and watching a huge dvd screen!

Don't you just love the hike up the hill. We always launch at the small ramp, less wind, but it seems like ten miles to the parking lot. The walk back to the dock is almost a two beer job.

We'll be out there the whole day on Sunday. White 24 Vindicator w/ blue writing on the side :D Been on Pleasant for Memorial 4 years straight, no problems. A little busier than a normal weekend, probably the biggest raft-ups you'll see in Humbug all year. The 10-lane ramp is still usually no waiting. :D
