QUESTION.....Some loser here at work is looking at a theft recovery LaveyCraft that needs a motor and out drive. What does a turnkey motor/drive cost.....496 bravo one type setup. somthing stock and usable..........anyone?

Here's one site that lists a basic 496 with Bravo I for a little under $15K. I have no idea if this is a deal or a rip-off. :)

What does a turnkey motor/drive cost.....496 bravo one type setup. somthing stock and usable..........anyone? tob alotta manufacturers will put 6.2's in as standard equipment ... then before or just after the guy drives it he wants something bigger... a 6.2 is not a bad motor especially if you could pick one up for 2k-ish ... used bravo1's are everywhere ...
This would be the ultra cheap route, but I thought I might suggest it.

I will sell him a 502 Mag for $6500 and he can find a drive for less than $3000... :D

Here is a link to give an idea of the MSRP of new Merc motor/drive pkgs. I don't know what the actual selling price is through these guys, but this should help to give a ballpark idea..
