Pipesclean and I just got back from Firebird Raceway where we met up with some pretty cool folks and took this sanger off their hands. Here are a few pictures of the boat with his motor, but actually his pit crew put my motor in this boat in the parking lot of firebird raceway, all I have to do is wire it and change the gears "superdave" from 50's to an 18, unfortunately I'm not running 1400 horse.

I'll post a few more once I have had the chance to paint my motor and scoop red , A green motor looks pretty lame in a red boat - here I'll prove it

Nice Lookin' boat! Are you going to turn it into a two seater for the lake?
Just out of curiosity, did the shovel nose just not do it for you? Was it unstable at speed? Do you still plan on keeping it?
Like I said, just curious!
Have fun!

Charger - I traded the shovelnose hull and a southwind tunnel hull for the hydro
Havasu Dreamin - I really enjoyed the shovelnose it handled great and had enough freeboard to still float down the river I just wanted a hydro with a proven design and speed capabilities and this hydro is it. I think the shovelnose used to be an outboard or a jet and I didn't want to put anymore money into it knowing that the boat was designed around a different type of performance.

The boat looks great and I am sure you will find it to be a real kick in the ass once you get it dialed in! Good Luck and be safe!

You have a gorgeous example of what in my opinion is the most beautiful boat design ever.

P1.........you going to put a road trailer under it or keep the dolly and keep it enclosed?

I have a set of fenders for this trailer I think I'll try to use them first. It made a 8 hour drive from new mexico to phoenix then another 6 hour drive to riverside, drove perfect and had no issues other than my fix it ticket for not having a license plate.

Bill, I should be getting a set of 18's in pretty soon. I'll let you know when they show up.
Are you sure those are 50's?? Casale makes 48 then 54's. There are some 50's out there but not many.

Superdave - Thats what the guy said but until I pull them I wont know for sure.
Sangster - the guy that had it before me had 1400 ponies to her. I would be lucky if I could come up with half of that. I'm hoping it will run 100 though. I hope to gradually get up to about 1000 horse but I'm sure that's not for awhile.
Sangster whats going on at CFW, anything coming up?.
