Nope, I haven't ever shot one of those. Looks like that thing could do some damage though! You wouldn't have anything left to take to the butcher. :crossx:

The fifty is a pussycat. It heavier than hell and it has a shock built into the stock for you ladies that like to shoot them.
Come to think of it, this gun hurts a lot more than that 50 cal. :rollside: :rollside:

Somebody shoud let the guy on the left know that you point the gun AWAY from people. Doesn't that look a little unsafe? I know I wouldn't want it to point towards me...loaded or unloaded.
That is an optical illusion Tom, the gun was in front of all of us and unloaded.
Great time though that 50 is bad azz I loved shooting it :cool: :cool:

Best thing about a .50 cal is reactive targets. Fill an old school glass sparklets bottle up with water and set it out about 1k yards. See what happens. :p :crossx:

50's are awesome. We shoot the Barrett and Mcmillen (sp?) in the teams.
Shooting the Barrett was a kick. Literally. We don't sandbag them and such, you just bipod them and enjoy the ride. Reaching out and touching someone at 1,000 yards is always cool.
I still prefer the 300WM though. Smaller, easier to hump in and you can carry more ammo. Unless you are trying to take out a motor with it, I like the winmag for everything else.

It was cool. I wish you could have made it!! But, by the looks of that thing...DAMN. I love Scottsdate, it is definitely a party town. My brother lives in Tempe and we always hit Scottsdale!!

The 50 cal. is light weight.
I found a letter over the weekend from the War Dept. that my grandfather held several heavy artillery records in 1917. The letter was about 8 hits out of 8 shots with a 8" gun on a 9' target with a 3' bullseye. The ship on which he fired from was making 22.5 knots while the target ship was making 25 knots in the opposite direction. He received about $200 prize money for his record.
I never meet him as he passed before I was born. :cry:
