what's the back way to laughlin to searchlight
out of barstow. i hear 40 is all messed up.

thanks pat(slotracer) :D This weekend I came back via the 40 and had no problems. If you take the 15 straight up and exit Searchlight that is the back way. You will then need to take the 95 back to Laughlin. Be careful on the 95 because they will try to get you speeding from Searchlight to Laughlin.

Take I-15 out of Barstow to Nipton Road exit.
Turn right and follow the road to Searchlight. Turn right at Hwy 95. Turn left at Laughlin exit about 20 miles and you're there.
HD is right, lots of NHP on hwy 95.

You can also take the 15 to the 40 like you're heading to Needles, exit GOFFS RD. turn left and follow it to the stop sign (95), turn left and about 15 miles in you'll see the turnoff to Laughlin (162??). It drops you right at the Bridge next to the Riverside Casino.

thanks pat(slotracer) :D I came back on 40 Monday mid day and hit no Construction. Also, hit no construction going up on Thursday night.

Search Light is a great way to, but there are cops waiting for you once you come down the hill going into Search Light. You come down a large grade to a fork where they sit waiting. Fun little place to stop though.
