We are heading to Emerald Cove for a quick run on smile_sp Mother's Day weekend. smile_sp We have been members for 3 years now and we have met some nice people.
My wife and I just bought a  99 Essex Sterling last Sunday and can't wait to take it out again...
Can anyone comment on the best Anchor setup to use on the Parker Strip? The boat came with a fluke anchor, 6 ft of chain and a 100' of rope.

Slide Anchor "box" anchor. Nothing else needed.

Thanks C-2.
I was using a "DIGGER" and it wasn't holding when the wind picks up. It made it harder to sleep at night when wondering if my boat was going to break loose and run into the neighboring boat.

Box anchor is the only way to go. We've been members since '99. Get out there every chance we get. If you see us out there, come by and say hi! :D

Box anchor! Couple that with a Shore Spike and you have everything you need.
