Some miles south of Laughlin on the river there's a little cove we boat into to stop at a place called Lazy Harrys.
Gas pump,, nice, soft powder sand beach, long stairway to the entrance with a nice river view from the bar,, not to bad food and great prices on the drinks. Friendly crowd,, sometimes a band.
The Squeeze calls it Divorce Cove because the Houses next to Lazy Harrys are seedy and in various states of disrepair. The cove was sorely in need of dredging last time we visited.
Anyone else discover this place?? Whats the area really called?

I know nobody likes to give up their spots but we are going to be at Laughlin this weekend and could use a new place to hang.Is it on the arizona side (most likely)just past big bend,or further towards the avi? If anyone spots a red Hallet jet suckin gas and draggin ass stop for a cold one.

I go there every year, usually just pop in for a beer and lunch then head back to our cove...I have no idea what the inlet to Lazy Harry's is called but they make a pretty good burger...

The cove at Lazy harry's is not that big...it's a good place to stop for an hour or so..there is a great cove about 2 miles up river from there...Locals call it the laughlin lagoon..when you head south from Laughlin you will pass an old unfinished hotel on the Nevada side. about a mile south of that you will see 2 palm trees by themselves..just south of the trees is the small entrance to a cove. pull in the cove and make a left..the cove opens up to a nice large area, it's all a no wake zone and a great place to kick back and go for a swim..

Lazy Harry's is just down stream from the gas pipeline that crosses the river below big bend. There is now a war memorial on the finger below it (lots of flag poles and stuff). Dont go into the lagoon below the memorial that is the old Rivera marina that has been closed for about 15 years.

Thats right,, great burgers and super cold beer.
It's on the Arizona side, just beyond where the gas line crosses the river, way before the AVI.
Beware of submerged rocks near the Arizona Shore near the gas line, and a shoal.
We look for the run down buildings, the faded sign that says Mexican Food (The Mexican restaurant closed over 12 years ago).
Unless the cove has been dredged,, I'd only enter it with a jet drive,, or really trim up your outdrive,,, and forget a V or direct drive.
Nice easy spot to visit.
Divorce Cove is a fitting name.

Is this place between Avi and Laughlin or more towards Needles. We usually hang out at Topock in the evenings which is a blast but always looking for something new.

I ate in that Mexican Restaurant 6 or so years ago on 4th of July. It was open and had great food. The dock was in very poor repair, but the food was good.

On the water in Laughlin,, head south toward the AVI,, (from the Avi head toward Laughlin)
AT 70 mph, you will soon reach a wide spot in the river usually with several vehicles day camped on the shore, and pass under a gas line with the collision avoidment globes attached to the suspension cables above,, then about 100 yards ahead on the Arizona side, a 100 yd long, white sand finger parallels the river with a small entrance at the south end. The yellow Mexican restaurant sign was visible from the river.
Beach at the end of the cove and the only tall metal staircase on your right leads to the back entrance of Lazy Harrys,, ya can't missit.
Lazy Harrys itself is very clean and nice. Nice, clean, dry, restrooms for the girls, reasonable prices, and you can watch your boat from the bar.
For anyone new to Laughlin,, the Sea Doos/PWC have a dumber attitude along this stretch of river,, Damfino why, perhaps more rentals with new riders, perhaps drunker, but much dumber,, Damfino,,
Worth a look.
