Out of the 11 MTI's built to date, 3 of them will be at the run. And to top it off, both Predator and the DCB have been re-worked.
The quickest time I've clocked the fastest boat, down to Parker dam and back is roughly 14 minutes. Something tells me that number is about to drop eek! eek!

Good, last week it seemed to have cooled off some, you know that initial shock when you jump in. But with warmer temps again it hopefully warmed up the water...those cooler/longer nights don't help much either.
You gonna have your Cheetah out or are you riding with others? I'll be out with a few friends but wife staying home for some girlscout duties.

The best place to kick back and watch the boats go by is in front of Havasu Palms, on the California side. It’s a great vantage point – you get to see them rounding the bend just past Copper Canyon, and then opening it up at Pilot Rock (the big red rock). At Copper Canyon the boats are still not up to speed.
I’ll be the safety boat in that area (minus the family)…if I run up on you, not being a dick, only trying to keep the waterway clear. There is also a spotter up on pilot rock, and all the safety boats and participants will be monitoring channel 69 on the VHF.
There will be two starts heading to Havasu Springs; the first wave of heavy hitters at 10:05 a.m., followed by the second wave 5 minutes later. Keep in mind these guys also make it back in as little as 12-15 minutes - normally not in a big group like on the way down, but on the way back they are also flying. There will also be a third start at 10:15 heading North around the island/Site 6 to the mouth of the river.
At 2:00 p.m., there will be one afternoon start, all boats heading back down to Parker Dam.

thank you! i will look for you, we are normally at the Nautical (we have a time share in the new end)but since i did not know my new boat was going to be ready untill this week i had to rent a house from a friend. my new 29 magic has blue flames with silver pinstripe outlining them. the transom is blue with the white forming flames in the blue 9 i have not seen the fully rigged finished product, but Magic has asked to have it back for the website photos of the boat.

the havasu palms area is really nice, i had to pull in there last year during the spring run to let some late running fast boats (i was running 75-80 in a 25 baja)they tore the water up so bad that i couldn't stay in the water (it was fun but my drive was really unhappy with me)and my co driver had to yack over the side (it really was not my driving, he had too much fun the night before!)but the palms is my #1 pick. i will be breaking in the new ice chests for all those docked around me!

sat 9am right? First wave is at 10:05am I believe. Sandpoint Beach is a good vantage point to watch if you don't have a boat. Sandpoint/Cattail Cove is about 5 miles North of Havasu Springs on the 95.

Tomorrow, we're gonna hang on the Cali side about a mile or 2 past steamboat and watch the big boys fly! Then we can watch them come back, and have the rest of the lake to ourselves! I was down at the Nautical cove this morning.Wow!There was some awsome boats down there.The cove was rumbling with some huge boats with huge amounts of horsepower!
